We also share this belief and living on an Island it is imperative we have the ability to some what swim. Even the slightest level of personal survival knowledge of how dangerous water can be could save lives.
Here at Waterside Pool we offer schools the opportunity to hire our pool for Year 3 National Curriculum swimming lessons.

The programme runs for 10 weeks comprising of an assessment week, aim to get the children to swim 25m and a Water Safety week which shows them how to save and survive.
Hire is for an hour and can include 2 Teachers and 2 Lifeguards in the water.

Waterside now have swimming lessons for Reception and Year 1. We feel this a great opportunity for the younger children to gain their water confidence before attending the swimming lessons in Year 3. These sessions are full of fun including games and songs to encourage water confidence.

Wootton Primary School
As a school we are so very fortunate to be able to use the Waterside pool for our school swimming program. Whilst we can access another local pool we always use the Waterside pool for a range of reasons, in particular that we have sole use of the pool and facilities during our session.
We are so fortunate to be able to do this as the children’s safety and protection is integral to the sessions. We also share this belief and living on an Island it is imperative we have the ability to some what swim. Oakfield CE Primary School
Oakfield CE (Aided) Primary School are very fortunate to be situated in Ryde and our pupils are even more fortunate to benefit from the use of The Waterside Pool on a weekly basis.
Throughout our children’s time at Oakfield every child will have visited the Pool regularly for their swimming lessons, which, given we are a seaside town, we feel imperative to their education, as learning to swim is a life skill.
We have been using The Waterside Pool for well over 20 years and hope to continue for many more.
