Pier to Pier Swim
Thirteen of our master swimmers took to the sea on a sunny but windy day to compete in the annual Marlins Swim Club pier to pier swim.
Alongside Ryde Beach Lifeguards and the lifeboats keeping us safe!
Starting by Sandown pier and ending where Shanklin pier used to be, the swim is 1.8 miles long and had over 150 competitors from the island and the mainland competing for prizes.
Izzie Foster brought the awards home for Ryde winning the ladies 18 to 20 age group, and brother Ollie did the honours winning the mens 21 to 29 age group. Matthew Sussmes was the fastest Ryde Master swimmer, coming in 9th overall followed closely by Jason Jefford at 15th, with the other Ryde Masters not far behind, including coach and swim teacher Mark Foster swimming Breastroke.
A great event at a great location.
Hampshire Masters County Championships
Ryde Masters were decorated in the 2025 Hampshire Championships, achieving a handful of medals. Our individual events brought back silver and gold medals, whilst our relay team missed out on decorative silverware by less than half a second.
